Egypt's National Astronomy Institute Announces Ramadan Starts June 18th

On Wednesday, Egypt’s National Astronomy institute announced that the Islamic month of Ramadan will begin June 18^th.

According to MENA, the head of Egypt’s astronomy institute, Abu Ela Amin, explains that his calculations suggest that Ramadan will begin 18^th of June and will end the 16^th July. As always, the start will be debated by Muslim scholars and astronomers as many depend on waiting to see the moon with their own eyes before declaring an official start to Ramadan.
