Egypt’s National Basketball Team Qualifies for 2023 FIBA World Cup

The Egyptian men’s national basketball team has qualified for the 2023 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) World Cup for the first time in nine years! After the team’s 71-67 victory against Tunisia in Alexandria, the Egyptian team officially made it into the championship’s top two spots in Group F alongside South Sudan.

The 2023 FIBA World Cup will be hosted by Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines this August, marking the first time that three countries will jointly host the global sporting event.
