The New Valley Governorate will soon be home to Egypt's inaugural administrative capital outside of Cairo, and its second overall. The forthcoming New Valley Administrative Capital, situated in Kharga City, covers a 101-acre site and operates on solar energy. It boasts the largest government complex for various ministries' directorates and leverages digitalisation methods to enhance service delivery.

The development encompasses a mechanised government complex, an array of banks and service institutions, and a sports city. This project is part of a larger governmental plan to establish administrative capitals in each governorate across Egypt.

The construction of the New Valley Administrative Capital has been a process spanning over 30 months. The first phase, valued at EGP 400 million out of a total cost of EGP 1 billion, includes government buildings, commercial structures, a public service facility and a comprehensive network of roads. The capital's aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability are further enhanced by additional projects such as maintenance facilities, car services and a large park.

Additionally, an environmentally friendly housing unit was developed in collaboration with the October University of Modern Sciences and Arts.
