Egypt to Invest EGP 7.2 Billion Into Ismailia
During the fiscal year 2020/21, as part of the Citizen Investment Plan, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development will funnel EGP 7.2 billion into a total of 222 public investment projects in Ismailia.
Some people call Ismailia the City of Beauty and Enchantment, and that the sentiment extends to the rest of the governorate. We're not ones to disagree. Tucked between two canals, the governorate of Ismailia is an underrated region, having risen from wartorn beginnings to become a place that's stable... albeit slow to grow.
But that might just change soon. During the fiscal year 2020/21, as part of the Citizen Investment Plan, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development will funnel EGP 7.2 billion into a total of 222 public investment projects in Ismailia. This number represents 2.8% of Egypt’s total public investments for the year.
The investment fund will be divided across a variety of sectors, including housing, healthcare, development, higher education, and the Suez Canal. The fund is prioritizing two main goals, which are to improve the drinking water and sanitation in Ismailia, and to build ten new hospitals to ease patient traffic.
