Egyptian Composer Omar Khairat to Be Honoured at Grand Riyadh Concert

In a tribute to one of the Arab world’s most celebrated composers, the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia is organising a concert to honour Egyptian musician Omar Khairat’s artistic legacy.

The event, titled ‘An Exceptional Musical Evening in a Huge Honoring Night’, will take place at Bakr Al-Shadi Theater in Riyadh on Friday, February 13th, under the patronage of Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority.

Khairat, renowned for his orchestral compositions that combine classical music with Arab heritage, will perform alongside a grand orchestra. The performance will be conducted by international maestro Matthew Freeman and Egyptian maestro Walid Fayed. The concert will be broadcast on MBC channels and digital platforms.

The concert will feature some of Khairat’s most renowned compositions, including ‘Efteta Heya Masreya', ‘Ghawayesh’, ‘Damir Abla Hekmat’, ‘Leilet al-Qabd 3ala Fatma’, ‘Wagh al-Amar’ and ‘Al-Leqa' al-Thani’. Other selections will include ‘Hanin’, ‘Al-Bakheel wa Ana’, ‘Al-'Ayam’ and ‘Qadeyet 'Am Ahmed’.
