Egyptian Government Establishes Private Free Zone in Ain Sokhna Port

The Egyptian government is set to establish a private free zone under the name ‘Italian-Egyptian Company for Sustainable Technological Industries SIM-TECK’ in Ain Sokhna port.

Encompassing an area of 40,000 square metres, the private free zone will include a series of factories to produce high-quality feldspar and silica-free bioquartz. Within a maximum period of three years, the factories will aim to incorporate around 80% of locally manufactured components in their products and export a minimum of 80% of their annual production outside Egypt.

The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones will monitor the activity of the private free zone, ensuring compliance with the conditions related to industrial security and defence.
