Egyptian Hieroglyphics Added to School Curriculum in 2022
Starting in 2022, ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics will be included in the official school curriculum for students between 10 and 18 years old.

Now that we’ve all seemingly come down with pharaoh fever following the historic #PharaohsGoldenParade, the Ministry of Education has announced that ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics will become part of the official school curriculum for students aged 10 to 18 years-old. “By introducing hieroglyphic writing symbols and their corresponding meanings in Arabic the aim is to increase students’ awareness about their ancient history,” read a statement by the Ministry. The course will also include concepts, skills, and values related to tourism and archaeology.
