Egyptian Mezzo-Soprano Farrah El Dibany Shines Bright at AlUla Concert
The singer accompanied renowned French performer Enrico Macias on stage, becoming the first Egyptian to do so since Dalida.
Egyptian mezzo-soprano Farrah El Dibany performed a duet with world-renowned French singer Enrico Macias at the Maraya Concert Hall in AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
The performance, which was part of the ‘AlUla Sous Les Etoiles’ concert celebrating the month of the Francophonie and was broadcast worldwide on Tv5monde, marks a new milestone in the exceptional singer’s career. As the only Egyptian chosen to sing at the event, El Dibany gave a solo performance of ‘Mon Amour/Aranjuez’ in French and Arabic, and sang a couplet in Egyptian Arabic with Macias. The occasion was made even more special by the fact that El Dibany is the first Egyptian to perform with Macias since iconic singer Dalida, whose duet performance of ‘Bambino’ is still relevant over three decades later.
The concert also featured renowned artists such as Gims, Carla Bruni, Helene Segara, Gilbert Montagné and famous Saudi singers Dalia Mubarak and Sultan AlMorshed.
