Egyptian National Railways to Operate Extra Trips For Eid Al Adha
30 additional railway journeys will be in operation from June 10th, to compensate for increased travel during the holidays.
In preparation for Eid Al Adha, the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) is set to operate 30 additional train trips starting from June 10th, 2024.
ENR announced the operation of the Talgo 2040/2041 trains between Cairo and Luxor. Special train Talgo No. 2040 will run from Cairo to Luxor from June 10th to June 27th, departing Cairo at 8:40 pm and arriving in Luxor at 5:10 am. Conversely, Talgo No. 2041 will operate from Luxor to Cairo from June 11th to June 28th, departing Luxor at 8:30 am and arriving in Cairo at 5:25 pm.
Additionally, VIP air-conditioned trains 1940/1941 will run between Cairo and Aswan. VIP train No. 1940 will travel from Cairo to Aswan from June 10th to June 27th, leaving Cairo at 9:50 pm and arriving in Aswan at 10:30 am. VIP train No. 1942 will return from Aswan to Cairo from June 11th to June 28th, departing Aswan at 10:30 pm and arriving in Cairo at 11:15 am.
Third-class air-conditioned trains 1942/1943 will also be in operation. Train No. 1942 will run from Cairo to Aswan from June 10th to June 27th, departing Cairo at 10:40 pm and arriving in Aswan at 11:50 am. Train No. 1943 will run from Aswan to Cairo from June 11th to June 28th, leaving Aswan at 3:00 pm and arriving in Cairo at 3:30 am.
Furthermore, third-class air-conditioned trains 1953/1952 will connect Cairo and Aswan. Train No. 1952 will travel from Cairo to Aswan from June 11th to June 28th, departing Cairo at 3:45 am and arriving in Aswan at 1:45 pm. Train No. 1953 will run from Aswan to Cairo during the same period, leaving Aswan at 7:35 pm and arriving in Cairo at 7:55 am.
ENR will also operate third-class air-conditioned trains 1954/1955 between Cairo and Aswan. Train No. 1954 will run from Cairo to Aswan from June 10th to June 27th, departing Cairo at 10:20 am and arriving in Aswan at 11:05 pm. Train No. 1955 will travel from Aswan to Cairo from June 11th to June 28th, departing Aswan at 10:15 am and arriving in Cairo at 10:40 pm.
In addition, VIP air-conditioned trains 1947/1946 will operate between Cairo and Aswan. Train No. 1946 will travel from Cairo to Aswan on June 14th, departing at 5:00 pm and arriving at 5:15 am. Train No. 1947 will run from Aswan to Cairo on June 20th, departing Aswan at 12:50 am and arriving in Cairo at 3:00 pm.
Lastly, third-class air-conditioned trains 1945/1944 will connect Alexandria and Aswan. Train No. 1944 will operate from Alexandria to Aswan on June 13th, departing at 5:10 pm and arriving in Aswan at 9:05 am.
These measures aim to accommodate increased travel demand during Eid Al-Adha, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for passengers.
