England's Blackburn FC Opens Stadium for Eid al-Adha Prayers

Blackburn FC became the first British football club to host Eid prayers this way on Eid El Fitr just last May, when more than 1,500 people took the pitch at Ewood Park to mark the end of Ramadan.

English football club Blackburn Rovers has invited local Muslim worshippers to come to Ewood Stadium to participate in Eid al-Adha prayers on July 9th. The ‘Eid @ Ewood Park’ event is open to people of all ages, and is expected to see at least 3,000 participants come over to pray on the pitch.


Blackburn FC became the first British football club to host Eid prayers this way on Eid El Fitr just last May, when more than 1,500 people took the pitch at Ewood Park to mark the end of Ramadan. 


The doors will open at 9:00 am sharp, and has invited the people to come with their own prayer mats.
