In the face of a global economic downturn, gold becomes a point of stability amidst the chaos of shifting values and currencies. To advance the Egyptian gold industry, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Dr. Ali Al Moselhi has pushed for the cancellation of all export fees on gold.

This step aims to increase Egypt’s gold exports to include bullion (extremely pure and refined gold), as well as gold artefacts that add value to the product. It will also help promote Egyptian gold jewellery in international markets.

The decision was made during the inauguration of the third session of Nebo Expo’s Gold and Jewellery Exhibition, which is organised by the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, with the participation of major local and global companies.
