Now we all know that the UAE and high fashion go hand in hand these days. If money talks, then Arab fashionistas have the loudest voices and they’re only going to get more high-pitched come October 1, when the very first Fashion Week Middle East kicks off in Dubai. Now, Dubai has had its fair share of fashion weeks, but this is the first time they hold an all-encompassing regional event, dead-set on showing the world what the Middle East has to offer.

The four-day event will see the biggest and brightest designers from the region display their Spring/Summer ’15 collections on the runways at DIFC. However, it won’t just be Middle Eastern-based designers in the spotlight, as Fashion Week Middle East are participating in exchange programmes with both LA Fashion Week and the coveted New York Fashion Week in stylish UN-style attempt to cultivate couture relationships between the two sides of the world. What does that mean exactly? Well it means that Middle East-based designers Furne Amato and Shrekahnth will get the chance to put their collections on the most important runway of them all in New York, and that none other than Charlotte Ronson and Betsey Johnson will show their respective SS15 collections in Dubai for the first time ever! Get ready Dubai, the fashionistas are coming…
