Local authorities in Aswan have, for the very first time, launched Nile ferries to transport Sudanese expatriates across the Qastal border and into Egypt, over a 24-hour-period.
Another ferry line is operating from Abu Simbel, with a 50-tonne and 100-passenger capacity, as well as over ten buses and transport vehicles.
Various emergency services, including medical and psychological support, will be available at the border.
