Free Entry to Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization During Ramadan

Sharjah’s Museum of Islamic Civilisation is opening its doors free of charge during the holy month of Ramadan, extending an open invite to all those curious about the history of Islam and its contributions to civilisations across the world.

Among its prized collections are architectural models of mosques from different Islamic cultures, and a number of rare Islamic manuscripts and Quran copies by renowned calligraphists, as well as collections of historical photographs showcasing various areas of Makkah and the journeys of Hajj pilgrims.

The museum is a cultural landmark in Sharjah and the Emirates as a whole, with striking external architecture echoing traditional Arab-Islamic designs, stretching over 10,000 square metres. The construction was inspired by London’s Natural History Museum, which shares the same exquisite stonework.

The museum will be open every day of this month, with an exception for March 29th and March 30th for Eid Al Fitr preparations.
