Giza Implements EGP 10k Fine for Street Animal Slaughter During Eid
21 public slaughterhouses will open across Giza during Eid al-Adha to mitigate the practice in the streets.

The governorate of Giza has issued guidelines regarding the ban on slaughtering sacrificial animals in the streets and public roads ahead of Eid al-Adha. Counts of illegal animal slaughter in the streets will be punished with a fine of up to EGP 10,000.
The guidelines also prohibit setting up makeshift pens for displaying live animals in public areas to avoid obstructing traffic and minimise environmental pollution.
