Some people love the holidays - those people can be annoying. All the cheer and well-wishing can really grate on cynical Scrooges like us. It's sort of a love-hate relationship though; we always get cranky about all that merry Christmas cheer because well, if you're too happy about anything, you're weird. But at the same time, we secretly love it all, from the festivities to the candy canes to the presents. Just don't tell anyone. This year takes it to new extremes though; with Moulid El Nabi falling on Christmas Eve, it's going to be a veritable festive overload. We're probably going to be festive as hell for two days and then get back to our brooding and self-loathing. Two days is all we can manage really. And only because it's a special occasion.
Bright blinding lights, festive eyesore decorations, and the sickeningly joyous presence of friends and family are what the holidays are all about. That and, of course, the ultimate retail therapy session! In the spirit of the season, Bazarna Events is teaming up with the Downtown Katameya Mall in New Cairo on December 18th to bring a full Winter Wonderland's worth of festivities under one roof; basically to keep the small children distracted while their parents blow their college tuition on fashion accessories. Celebrate Moulid El Nabi and Christmas simultaneously, and winter in general, without having to run around to a million different places and being late to every single one of them.
One of the big parts of the Winter Wonderland - the Annual Winter Fashion Bazaar - has exhibitors selling stuff for kids and adults that will keep you warm without looking like a walrus. Vendors will also be there with plenty of wintery arts and crafts that you can totally tell your relatives you made just for them. Plenty of seasonal snacks will be on hand, too, to make sure you keep that holiday waistline nice and bulgy. The Winter Wonderland at Downtown Katameya Mall will make sure you've got everything you need for the holidays.
