Jorking Off

Three-a-side cage football, also for some reason known as Jorkyball, has made its way to Egypt. Find out where you can play...

Staff Writer

Remember that Nike commercial where the likes of Edgar Davids, Hernán Crespo, Rio Ferdinand and a load of the world’s biggest football stars battled it out on a caged pitch with Eric Cantona as referee? Well, guess what? Fitness trainer Ti Farag has brought it to Egypt (except without the world’s biggest football stars)!

Farag is hoping this new form of small-sided soccer, or Jorkyball as some call it, will create future world footy stars, right here in Egypt.

Jorkyball’s concept of three-a-side soccer is a great way to develop your football skills, as it allows each player to have more contact with the ball, improving your spatial awareness and control of the ball in tight spaces. But you wanna know what the best part is? It's on a roof!

We don't know about you, but a rooftop view whilst playing football sounds pretty damn cool to us. Farag has cut no corners in making sure his football cage has the best facilities in town: "The grass is from the Netherlands and made from materials using the latest artificial grass technology. It doesn't contain black rubber, so it feels natural. Plus, it's the first three-a-side pitch in Egypt." So grab a couple of mates and head down there for some top quality Jorky!

Renting the pitch costs 100 LE per hour. For more information visit http://www.facebook.com/footballarenaEgypt
