Just How Many Hours Have We Spent Streaming Netflix During Ramadan?

In general, compared to last Ramadan, there was a 68% increase in the use of mobile internet services.

Egyptians are consuming more online entertainment programming than ever before, as per a new report from the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.

Via streaming video services on the internet (such as Netflix, Shahid, and Watch It), the number of viewers in Egypt reached 33 million, with 12.9 million watch hours per day throughout the month of Ramadan in 2022, representing a 76% increase in usage compared to Ramadan 2021.

In general, compared to last Ramadan, there was a 68% increase in the use of mobile internet services. This is likely due to the increase in the number of mobile internet users by 11 million citizens, and a 39% increase in the use of fixed internet services.
