Lemonada Is Back To Add A Little Zest To Your Ramadan

As is the annual tradition, come Ramadan, a flurry of restaurant and hotel kheimas emerge, each trying to out-do one another in organising the perfect Ramadan tent. We'll admit it does put a smile on our faces to know they're all vying for our fasting, ravenous appetite (whatever, we're narcissistic like that) but most of them end up essentially being replicas of one another - except for one unique Nile-side spot that's got a little extra zing to it: Lemonada.

For the third consecutive year, everyone's favourite bohemian culinary paradise, The Lemon Tree & Co., has taken over Beetroot and put up their signature Lemonada tent where Iftar buffets, and à la carte sohours running until 2 AM, will be served on a daily basis. Once you've completed all the requisite hours at various family iftars and sohours, and made sure teta is pleased with your attendance rate, you can go ahead and plant yourself at Lemonada for the remainder of Ramadan where they'll be whipping up the inventive and exceptional culinary creations that have become their trademark.

Never ones to settle for the ordinary, The Lemon Tree & Co. have a track record of opting for the atypical; this time around think watermelon feta salad, date omelettes with crumbled goat cheese and rosemary, and strawberry konafa. We know you’re probably fasting as you read this, and so are we, but these just sounded so intriguing we had to share. #Sorrynotsorry. Throw in some shisha, and Lemonada has got Ramadan on lockdown.
