Lil Wayne's Arabic Tattoo Goes Terribly Wrong
We've all got that one friend that's made a terrible inking mistake. Lil Wayne did it on his face...
Right, so you know how there are legions of people out there who in their foolish youth have gotten what they think is the Chinese symbol for like, faith or courage or some other pseudo-deep done-to-death sentiment, but actually it means like, car? Well Lil Wayne just got one such tattoo except it’s in Arabic.
The rapper just got inked again – yes, we know, big fucking whoop – but the point is, the tattoo, which is right above his eyebrow, reads in Arabic “صبي أمي“. We are assuming, as is the rest of the world, that he was going for the Arabic translation of ‘Momma’s boy’. Except, hi, Arab world talking to you here; your tattoo doesn’t make any sense. One might think he has enough cash money to get an accurate translation of the words he plans to have engrave don his skin forever. But then again, one might think no one should be getting multiple tattoos on their face to begin with… His tattoo artist even proudly Instagrammed the final result. Maybe he shouldn't have.
Lesson number one to take from this is to never use Google translate as a valid source. And lesson number two is, if you have enough hideous tattoos on your face as least one gross error won’t be too glaring of an inked mistake. Hope your mom appreciates the sentiment Lil Wayne.
Lil Wayne decided to get "Mumma's Boy" in Arabic over his left eyebrow. Should I be the person to tell him that his tattoo artist messed up?
