Luxor will gather international officials from across the globe on October 30th and October 31st to celebrate World Cities Day, in an event titled ‘Adaptation and Strengthening the Capabilities of Cities to Resist Climate Change’.
The event is being held after an agreement was signed with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, and is meant to encourage the global community’s interest in sustainable international urbanisation, facilitate cooperation between nations to address climate challenges, and promote climate action in cities.
A number of workshops and sessions will be held in parallel with the conference to showcase development programmes in Egypt.
