Madeed Platform Launched to Boost Nonprofit Role in Publishing
Madeed provides funding, mentorship, and training to nonprofit organisations and student clubs.

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission has launched Madeed, a new initiative aimed at empowering nonprofit organisations and student clubs to play a more active role in the Kingdom’s cultural development. The programme looks to build a more inclusive and sustainable cultural sector, particularly in the fields of literature, publishing, and translation.
Madeed is designed to foster long-term partnerships with the nonprofit sector by offering both financial and operational support. This includes mentorship, capacity-building workshops, promotional tools, and direct grants to help organisations and clubs implement cultural projects with social impact.
The programme operates through two tracks: one for officially registered third-sector organisations, and another dedicated to university-based student clubs. Both tracks guide applicants through a structured process, from the initial application and evaluation stages to project implementation and final review.
To be eligible, organisations must be registered within Saudi Arabia and able to demonstrate a clear plan for cultural engagement within the scope of literature, publishing, or translation. According to the Commission, Madeed will prioritise projects that align with the Kingdom’s cultural strategy, promote inclusivity, and contribute to the diversification of Saudi Arabia’s creative industries.
