In honor of World Mental Health Day and in an attempt to help Egyptians cope with the loss of a loved one at the hands of COVID-19, Mersal Foundation is setting up special group therapy sessions.
COVID-19 has strongly impacted many facets of our lives. The pandemic has transformed the way we celebrate milestones in our lives and, even more importantly, the way we grieve losses, with social distancing rules and travel restrictions only making the process harder.
In honor of World Mental Health Day - celebrated on October 10th - Mersal Foundation is set to host group therapy sessions to lessen the load and lead people through the stages of grief, an attempt to help Egyptians cope with the loss of a loved one at the hands of COVID-19.
As a charity, Mersal Foundation has proved to be instrumental in the battle against COVID-19. During the peak of the pandemic, the NGO served as a lifeline for Egyptians unable to access proper medical treatment. For the past year the organization has emerged as a trusted source of care, contracting and paying for beds and oxygen tanks for people in need.
