Military Museums to Open for Free to Celebrate October 1973 Victory
The Egyptian government has also announced a public holiday on Thursday, October 5th to celebrate the anniversary.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Egypt’s victory in the 6th of October War in 1973, the National Armed Forces will open military museums nationwide for free from October 1st to October 6th. These museums include the National Military Museum in the Cairo Citadel, El Alamein, and Port Said, as well as the open-air weapons exhibit at the 6th of October Panorama.
The Egyptian government has also announced a public holiday on Thursday, October 5th to celebrate the anniversary.
