Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Launches Call-In Show to Address Concerns of Farmers

The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture has Land Reclamation has launched a special initiative wherein it will be answering farmers’ concerns amidst COVID-19 on live television.


The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced the launch of the ‘Mostasharak El-Zera’y’ initiative, which brings a new special TV programme that will address concerns and questions by farmers, as well as any citizen working within the agricultural sector who have been negatively affected by COVID-19. Concerned citizens will have the opportunity to call in to the live programme and get answers from agricultural experts specialising in fields such as crop production, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.

This is the latest of a string of government actions to help contain the spread of the virus and assist affected people dealing with its numerous repercussions. The one-hour long programme will be broadcasted on the ministry-affiliated ‘Misr El-Zera’iya’ channel every Tuesday and Thursday at 3PM. The channel’s frequency on NileSat  is 11277 Vertical.
