In response to concerns of a second wave of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health will be reactivating some preventative measures in institutions and on public transportation, including having police forces implement strict mask rules.

As the numbers of daily cases of people becoming infected with the Coronavirus start to rise again, concerns over a potential second wave of the pandemic have become more of a common topic. After a dip in which Egypt's case numbers had drastically fallen, they have once again increased to 200 cases per day.

In response, the Ministry of Health will be reactivating some preventative measures in institutions and on public transportation, including having police forces implement strict mask rules. Other restrictions include social distancing measures, hygiene protocols, and potential fines. As far as we know though, public areas like parks, restaurants, and other recreational services won't be closing their doors again anytime soon.

For the time being, the ministry will also be taking to social media and television advertising to reiterate the importance of continuing to stick by preventative protocols for every citizen.
