Ministry of Health to Provide 50,000 COVID-19 Detectors

Amidst the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, the Ministry of Health and Population will supply 50,000 rapid COVID-19 detectors to government-owned pharmacies and hospitals. These tests will be available at the reduced price of EGP25.

The Ministry of Health and Population has attributed the jump in cases to the Omicron variant of COVID-19, specifically a mutant of the Omicron variant called 'B4-B5'.
