Ministry of Tourism Inspires School Kids with New Initiative
The initiative will take school students of all ages on a number of trips and visits to touristic and archeological sites in different governorates.
The Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities has recently launched their ‘Our Story’ initiative in Egypt’s schools to help get children engaged with their cultural heritage.
The initiative will take school students of all ages on a number of trips and visits to touristic and archeological sites in different governorates, while linking such visits to local and international events.
The initiative recently hosted a competition among 22 schools asking them to make videos or audio recordings about the mummies in the Pharaohs’ Golden Parade. Six winning schools were then brought to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where they were taken on a tour through the Central Exhibition Hall and the highly anticipated Mummies Hall. They also brought students from Qena and Luxor to the temples of Karnak and Luxor while dressed up in Ancient Egyptian costumes.
