Misr Public Library to Host Discounted Book Fair on April 11th & 12th
The fair will offer surplus books at symbolic prices to promote reading and support public access to literature.

Misr Public Library has announced it will host a discounted book fair on April 11th and the 12th, 2025, at its main branch in Giza. The event will take place from 10:00 AM at the library’s garden, located at 4 Jamal Hamdan Street. The fair will feature a selection of books that are no longer needed in the library’s core collection and will be made available to the public at reduced prices.
The initiative, led by Ambassador Abdel Raouf Al-Ridi, Chairman of the Board of the Misr Public Library Foundation, is part of the library’s broader effort to make reading more accessible and to encourage a culture of knowledge sharing among the general public. Organisers say the exhibition is aimed at reaching readers of all ages by providing affordable access to a wide variety of literature.
The book fair forms part of the library’s ongoing cultural programming, which includes regular exhibitions, reading initiatives, and community engagement events designed to foster lifelong learning and promote literary awareness across Egypt.
