Mo Salah to Be Immortalized as a Statue at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
Egypt's brightest football star will be encapsulated in wax alongside the likes of Winston Churchill, the Queen of England and Chewbacca.
Liverpool star and local shawerma namesake Mo Salah has recently been measured for a wax statue for the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London!
Quick show of hands, who's ever been at Madame Tussauds? If you haven't, just know it's full to the brim with incredibly life-like wax statues of iconic figures that have made an impact on Britain's cultural and historical mindset, from the Queen of England and Winston Churchill to James Bond and the cast of Star Wars. The museum has been around since 1835, so when we heard that Mohamed Salah's wax likeness was joining its ranks, it was honestly more of a reality check for how far the star has risen than any number of Premier League victories or Ballon d'Or placements could ever be.
According to Madame Tussauds' general manager, "As Egyptian Forward and currently both European and World Club Champion with Liverpool FC, Mo Salah is a global star at the peak of his power... We know that fans will love seeing him at the home of celebrity, where he rightly belongs." Damn right.
Salah's wax statue will soon find its home at the London museum alongside Michael Bublé and Taylor Swift.
