New Allowances Open Doors for Fully Digital Businesses in Egypt

This new move aims to empower up-and-coming entrepreneurs with less funding opportunities, or those who wish to adopt a work-from-home model for their business.

Startups will no longer need a physical office space in order to register as a business, as per a new presidential directive, allowing internet businesses to save on expenses by becoming fully digital enterprises.

Prior to this decision, emerging businesses needed to rent or own an actual office space in order to complete the legal paperwork and register their businesses. Now, this new move aims to empower up-and-coming entrepreneurs with less funding opportunities, or those who wish to adopt a work-from-home model for their business.

Soon a new governmental platform will be established to allow these online businesses to register themselves more easily, although where and when this will happen has yet to be announced.
