The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the launch of new digital services at gas stations, including the digitisation of payment - which means that right now, across over 400 gas stations in Egypt, you will be able to pay with your credit card at the pump.

Other new services include an integrated system to manage and follow up the supply of fuel to vehicle fleets of contracting parties using electronic technologies rather than paper coupons, which ensures greater security.

Another measure that is being taken is transporting and trading petroleum products while upholding the rights of the two contracting parties, marketing firms, and owners of those cars, starting with identifying the fuel type used in the vehicles, maintaining balances in terms of value and necessary quantities, and delivering periodic follow-up reports that support the citizen in question with contracting authorities in addition to offering telephone technical support services.

These new services are part of a wider strategy to further modernize the country, arriving at the most effective economic utilization of the capabilities and resources of the petroleum industry, while aligning with Egypt’s successful economic reform initiative.
