No Arms? No Problem! Egyptian Hero Hamato Qualifies in Table Tennis For Paralympics

Losing both arms in an accident at the age of 10 has not deterred Egyptian athletic hero Ibrahim Hamato from reaching the Rio Paralympics in September, dominating incredibly at table tennis using only his mouth.

Our hearts nearly exploded with joy when we learned that beloved Egyptian table tennis player Ibrahim Al-Husseini Hamato has officially qualified for the 2016 Summer Paralympics.

His latest feat proves once again that anything is possible, as the 41-year-old, who lost both his arms in accident when he was 10 years old, decided to take up the sport placing the paddle in his mouth and destroying all competitors in his way.

Hailing from the governorate of Damietta, the inspiring athlete has a variety of victories, including the 2013 Egypt Open, and winning second place at the 2011 and 2013 African Championship. In 2006 he reached his highest world ranking, securing the 32nd spot.

Continuing to inspire the nation, Hamato is dead-set on smashing the competition at the Summer Paralympics to be held in Brazil from the 7th to the 18th of September, 2016, and will be one of the more exciting Egyptian athletes to watch at the games.
