No More Mobile Phones for Students & Teachers on School Grounds?
The Ministry of Education has banned the use of cell phones in schools by both students and teachers as part of their new measures against COVID-19.
As the 2021/2022 academic year approaches, the Ministry of Education has released a new set of COVID-19 precautionary measurements for schools to adopt. One that caught our eye is the decision to ban mobile phones entirely during the school day - and not just for the students, but the teachers too. Alongside the phone ban, teachers and students over the age of 18 must have received their COVID-19 vaccines in order to enter campus, and smoking areas will no longer be made available for staff in order to curb the spread of viruses. Social distancing and consistent disinfection will continue to be implemented throughout all schools.
