North Sinai to Receive Its First Medical College

North Sinai is about to open the doors to its first medical school. El Arish University announced that a new faculty of medicine is being prepared in time for the next academic year. One of the reasons this new college is being implemented is because of a new hospital project at El Arish called Al Hayah Hospital, which will treat tumours free of charge.

The faculty of medicine will provide services to locals through a clinic, but the exact details haven’t been announced. What we do know, though, is that it’s one of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s projects to expand health services in Sinai.

Right now, the university is recruiting all the staff and equipment necessary while creating community partnerships to support the faculty’s launch. The new faculty comes as part of the state’s plan to develop Sinai to more than a touristic area, which begins with providing an education that would allow citizens to pursue different paths.
