Odd Couples

Since we were children, cartoons have been responsible for preconceived notions of how animals behave. Cats eat mice and birds, dogs chase cats, monkeys throws feces at everything and so on. In school we were told that nature is all about the survival of the fittest, and that animals are in constant battles with one another to rise to a higher spot in the food chain. So we here at CairoScene were baffled and super elated to find out that there is a book, aptly called Unlikely Friendships by Jennifer Holland, highlighting friendships amongst animals that we would never imagine hanging out. Below are some pictures of cute partnerships we wish we had at home.
