One Way Street to Ovary Damage

A senior council of conservative clerics, which if you can't read between the lines is a euphemism for a bunch of old sexist fascist dudes, in Saudi Arabia have announced that women risk damaging their ovaries by driving. Women have never been allowed to drive in the Kingdom and recently some are waking up to this auto-vehicle-authoritarianism and are challenging the Islamic kingdom's male-only driving rule.

Although the council does not set Saudi policy, which is ultimately decided by King Abdullah, it can slow government action in a country where the ruling al-Saud family derives much of its legitimacy from the clerical elite. "If a woman drives a car, not out of pure necessity, that could have negative physiological impacts as functional and physiological medical studies show that it automatically affects the ovaries and pushes the pelvis upwards," Senior Council of Scholars, Sheikh Saleh al-Lohaidan  told Sabq.org.

Meanwhile, the Elders of the Right-Wing Judiciary announced "It is certainly not becoming of a women to drive car plus many ill health benefits will be behest upon her aside from ovary damage; she can catch a cold from the air conditioning, for instance. If we have a nation of women with runny noses in bed, who will be able to cook for the men?"
