Pelé is Coming to Cairo

Come one come all, old or young... just about everyone knows and adores Brazilian football legend Pelé, and for two days he will be in Cairo to help celebrate the launch of Copa Coca-Cola second edition. The Copa Coca-Cola tournament is an international youth competition that unites a million youth from over 60 countries to promote their skills and their love for football.

It has been over 41 years since Pelé last visit to Cairo, and is a wonderful way to launch the second edition of this tournament. The event is in cooperation with Coca-Cola and the Ministry of sports and will be taking place February 14th to March 4. Pelé's visit is scheduled on February 16th and 17th and will begin with a press conference followed by inaugurating the game between Copa Coca-Cola Egypt and Copa Coca-Cola Brazil with a ceremonial kick off. On the 17th he will attend various activities in public locations.

The last time “The Black Pearl” was in Egypt was when his team played a friendly against Al-Ahly. In case you weren't alive and your sick of your parents gloating about seeing him play, then here is a clip with the highlights of that game.
