Quiksilver to Crown King Of The Lagoon

Today marks the beginning of the 6^th Annual Soul Kitesurfing King of the Lagoon! Sponsored by the world’s ultimate surfwear manufacturer, Quiksilver, the King of the Lagoon is Egypt’s most exciting kitesurfing tournament, and three champions will be crowned in the discipline of freestyle, air style, and racing. Each competition will start off with 16 skilled competitors, and will be whittled down until one kitesurfer is left standing.

Set against the gorgeous backdrop of sunny Ras Sudr, you have to be there if you are a fan of kitesurfing! For those of you who won’t be competing, there will be live music, food, and and a massive beach party to celebrate the eventual winners of the competition. Quiksilver will be making sure the winners get their dues too, giving 1000 LE to the winner, and 700LE and 500LE to second and third place, respectively for each different discipline.

This is set to be one of the biggest kitesurfing events of the year, so kitesurfing enthusiasts from all over the country and the region will be converging on the coast as we speak, so check it out if you are a fan of one of Egypt’s fastest growing action sports and look for the Quiksilver crew for some fun giveaways.
