Quila is the New Egyptian Brand Saving the Planet One Tote Bag at a Time

Fashionably kitschy and environmentally responsible.

Dubbed as 'The Little Saviors of Our Planet' by 20 year-old founder, Dalia Ossama, the bags of young Egyptian brand, Quila, offer more than just a kitschy, cool addition to your collection of accessories.

" Just because you wanna go green doesn’t mean you have to lose your personal style and do it in a boring way. I wanted to introduce a simple brand that would simultaneously promote a green movement. Quila tote bags come in a variety of designs, to suit anyone’s taste - especially young people. This way, people could start saving the environment in an easy, affordable and fashionable way. " Dalia told us, further on elaborating on her intent to create more collections, designs and sizes to fulfill everyone's need.

"Just because you want to go green doesn’t mean you have to lose your personal style," Ossama tells CairoScene of her simple but effective efforts to go green. "I wanted to introduce a simple brand that would simultaneously promote a green movement. Quila tote bags come in a variety of designs, to suit anyone’s taste - especially young people. This way, people can start saving the environment in an easy, affordable and fashionable way."

True to Ossama's vision, Quila bags certainly do add touch of flair, using retro pop-art prints of everything from Stella beer bottles, to saeedi Egyptian women. But beyond the fashion and style of it all, Ossama has bigger ambitions in her #OneLessPlasticBag goals.

"I also want to contact supermarkets and stores to collaborate, so people can get their reusable Quila bag at the supermarket instead of using plastic bags."
