'Read and Earn' - Ministry of Youth's Literary Competition

Calling all bibliophiles! The Ministry of Youth and Sport is launching a literary competition called 'Read and Earn' where contestants are challenged to read one of the works of popular writers Ahmed Mourad or Ahmed Khaled Tawfiq and submit their synopsis of that novel. If they win first place, the literary savant receives a monetary prize, the amount of which hasn’t been announced yet.

Contestants must be between the ages of 18-40 and can write up to 30 pages, with only one entry allowed per person. Their synopsis has to be accurate to the content of the work, so no sneaking in fanfiction, please. The competition will be open from March 31st to April 3rd, wherein contestants can submit their entries on the ministry portal along with a scan of their national ID.

If you’re up to show off your reading comprehension chops with an analytical read of an Egyptian classic, visit the portal at https://www.emys.gov.eg/moy/read-earn/
