RiseUp Summit Announces Launch of ‘Pitch By The Pyramids’ Competition

Applications are now open for RiseUp’s first multi-stage regional startup pitch competition under the name ‘Pitch by the Pyramids’. The competition initially launched qualifiers in eight cities across the Middle East and Northern African region, which will converge for the final event at the Great Pyramids of Giza on the 8^thof December during this year's edition of the summit.

The competition is targeting startups from Cairo, Beirut, Dubai, Tunis, Amman, Ramallah, Riyadh, and Baghdad, who can apply through the RiseUp website. Regional partners from each of the startup ecosystem hubs in these cities will organise local qualifier rounds to select the most innovative and scalable startups to proceed to the final event at the Pyramids.

The Pitch by the Pyramids programme is an immersive experience for participating entrepreneurs, who will gain access to specifically tailored webinars on business modeling, market intelligence, and growth planning. Finalists will also gain the opportunity of a mentorship by a leading industry expert to support their development and the fulfillment of their business model throughout the competition leading up to the final event.

A minimum of two finalist startups from each qualifier will travel to Cairo to attend summit and final pitch event. Additionally, they will pitch to an audience of thousands of attendees, including local and regional venture capitalists and investors, as well as extensive media presence that assures regional exposure.
