Saudi Crown Prince: Israelis Have the Right to Have Their Own Land

In a recent interview with the Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, Saudi Crown Prince, Mohamed Bin Salman states that he recognizes Israeli's right to a state of their own next to a Palestinian state.

Having already sparked debate with his recent decisions promoting women's rights in Saudi and his liberal outlooks, the prince has already made a few enemies within the kingdom. In the recent interview with the Atlantic however, Prince Mohamed Bin Salman offers controversial opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian dilemma.

Clarifying his stance on the issue, the prince explains that Islam and more specifically the prophet did not have a problem with Judaism, and was in fact married to a Jewish woman.

The prince goes on to say: “I believe the Palestinians and the Israelis have the right to have their own land. But we have to have a peace agreement to assure the stability for everyone and to have normal relations. We have religious concerns about the fate of the holy mosque in Jerusalem and about the rights of the Palestinian people. We don’t have any objection against any other people.”
