The Ministry of Environment has partnered up with the Egyptian Italian Environmental Cooperation Program to develop the Jara area within the Siwa Protected Area, with hopes of transforming it into an eco-tourist destination while preserving its natural splendour. The development work will include a display showcasing the region's natural heritage, as well as improvements on the area's infrastructure and services to provide for the needs of tourists.
