To all those people that venture to Saturday L'Orientale week in and week out, this week's edition is a must attend in all calendars: Anthony Stanco Jazz Ensemble, a collective headed by Jazz pioneer Anthony Stanco, is gracing the Cairo Jazz Club stage all the way from Michigan to perform real Jazz from the country that made it. They will be collaborating with the biggest local talent to offer a Jazz explosion with a unique local twist. These guys have been educated in musical exchange of cultures and are waiting for their shot to collaborate with some of Egypt's best talent. On their 2013 tour, they presented their programme in places such as Botswana, South Africa and Namibia and now it's our turn as Hani Bedeir takes on percussion, Mohamed Sawaah joins with the Oriental trumpet and Hesham Essam Makarem adds the Oud to the mix.

Right after, Hawidro, an 8-piece ensemble with a unique Afro Egyptian sound, take the cultural encounters of the night even further. Meaning return, "Hawidro" is all about the band returning their Nubian roots and exploring sounds that mirror their diverse upbringing. Their odyssey will start in Cairo Jazz Club on Saturday. Do not miss a night of diversity, cultural exchange and... well, music!
