The Suez Canal has made USD 1 million in revenues in one hour in a historic first.
The news comes as the Canal has seen significant development while allowing for increased navigation by widening and deepening the Canal. The developments have also allowed the Canal to serve an increased capacity of ships, with 107 ships having passed through the waterway in March 2023.
The Suez Canal Authority announced returns of a historic high of USD 9.4 billion in the 2022/2023 fiscal year so far.
