Tanta University to Manufacture and Produce 20,000 Masks and Donate Them to Local Teaching Hospitals

Magdy Sabaa, President of Tanta University, has announced the university's production of 20,000 masks for distribution to staff at university hospitals and governmental administrative offices. Dr. Sabaa clarified that the highest global quality health standards are being met in the manufacture and production of the masks, including all the appropriate steps to ensure proper sterilization.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim added that the university will also be rewarding a financial reward - equivalent to half a month’s salary - to all resident doctors, nursing staff and workers in university hospitals. The reward will be given as a token of appreciation and support for the staff's continued efforts in protecting the local community against the COVID-19 pandemic.
