It’s nearly time for Egypt’s own electric train line to leave the station as it’s currently undergoing a number of test runs before its official opening. The electric Light Rail Train (LRT) connects the New Administrative Capital’s City of Arts and Culture to Adly Mansour, and will eventually run all the way to 10th of Ramadan city. While we’ve been told to anticipate the opening of the LRT lines on previous dates, the operation of test runs means we’re closer than ever.

The price for a ticket down three stations is anticipated to cost EGP 15, and then EGP 20 for five stations, EGP 25 for seven stations, and finally EGP 35 for nine stations.  Each train will have six cars, which also includes carriages for women.
