The Coptic Evangelical Authority for Social Services Has Donated EGP6 Million to Fight Coronavirus

The Coptic Evangelical Authority for Social Services, under Pastor Dr. Andre Zaki, has contributed EGP 6 million to the implementation of several community initiatives aiming to support locals during the Coronavirus pandemic. 20,000 families and 100,000 citizens will directly benefit from the services in question.

These initiatives include providing medical supplies and sanitation services of public buildings, places of worship, schools, homes, and streets for over 150 local communities across Cairo, Minya, Assiut, Aswan, Alexandria, and Beni Suef with whom the commission already works.

The commission is also in talks with Islamic scholars, academics, and media professionals through video calls in order to cooperate effectively in taking on an active role with local communities to face the dangers of the ongoing pandemic. 1,500 families have already received disinfectant bags and tools, and many streets and institutions have undergone sterilization.
