The Cronefeh Has Arrived

Interspecies pastry making is nothing particularly new, like when the Doughnut had a baby with the Croissant and Cronuts made their way from New York and into the mouths of thousands of unsuspecting Egyptian last year, with every cupcake store and their mother breeding these hybrid desserts.

A new baked mongrel has been created right here in the Middle East that goes by the name of Cronefeh. Sold apparently for years by an unassuming chain of patisseries, Sweet Sea, across Lebanon and has recently became hugely popular after an online photo of it began circulating online.

The Cronefeh is a chocolate croissant that's been stuffed with cheesy konefeh (to be said with a a Lebanese accent); a dream for the munchies in you. We imagine it's only a matter of time before the Cronefeh arrives to Cairo.
